PV panel orientation control:
An astronomical clock is implemented in a PR200 controller. Angular position of the Sun is calculated based on the astronomical time and the geographical location of the PV installation. The orientation of the PV panel’s surface normal is being regulated to achieve near 0° angle of incidence.
The range of vertical movement (pitch angle) is 75°, while the range of horizontal movement (yaw angle) is 60°. The control program is designed to operate with every possible geographical location.
